Initial Storyboard

This is it. Today is the day we actually work towards our final film project and we're so excited. In the last post, I made my own storyboard from a film as a form of practice for now. This is going to be my group's initial storyboard for our murder-mystery-esque film. Let's get into it!

Before starting the drawing process, we wrote down all of our plans and ideas, including but not limited to costuming, personality type, camera angles, plot, audio cues, etc. It was an extremely beneficial idea that really assisted the storyboard process itself. Our group divided the work between the four us quite evenly. Each person drew two scenes each, describing what's occurring in the scenes as well. We had the general idea of having an interrogation scene with a murder mystery genre. It starts with the crime scene itself, so we're expected there to be a police car with sirens blaring. After this, it moves onto scene two where the suspects are brought into a controlled environment that will prove to be the primary setting. The next two scenes included an introduction scene, where the characters are given a name and the audience is able to get a broad understanding of the characters themselves. The further sketches include a broad continuation of the event. As a group, we decided to have the four characters be four general stereotypes, which could be seen on the expressions of each of the characters. We are also pushing for an extremely realistic setting, where it gives the feeling of a murder.
