Describing my Project

The general plot of my movie has changed drastically from its original concept. At first, we were planning to do a world-ending / apocalyptic type of event, but after careful (very quick) consideration we decided to take another approach. One of our groupmates came up with the idea of four people who were all accused of the same crime and were taken into police custody. This would turn into an interrogation scene, where each person is trying to convince the police officer that they're innocent. This would have a mugshot scene (similar to the picture below), which would transition into the classic desk interview. We are also planning on including a flashback (if we have time) that shows why we were accused of the crime in the first place. We are planning on filming this in Kayla's garage - as it is completely unused - but if that doesn't work, a private study room in a library. There are no plans to have a specified camera person or editor, as we are all going to work on it together.

Expectations / Concerns

I actually have quite high expectations for this project. I believe this is a very unique topic that I haven't seen before (at least in classmate discussions and past submissions). One of my largest concerns would be lighting/camera work because that is definitely a make-or-break. There were plenty of past submissions that could've been improved with the simple solution of better lighting. This is going to be extremely difficult to ensure, especially since we have minimal experience. I do have confidence that it'll be fine in the end, but editing is also a terrifying thought. Editing the sound project was pretty difficult - and that was solely audio. This includes both audio and visual which is significantly harder. All in all, I have trust in my groupmates to make a successful final project.
