Opening Movie Mood Board

After creating the mood boards for my project, I'm proud to say that the movie is coming together at a very efficient rate. With this, our planning process is nearly complete, we just need to storyboard our actions. ANYWAYS back to the mood boards.

Starting from the left, we have six different images, each with a particular meaning. The one at the top-left is meant to show someone pleading their innocence, but actually being a liar in the end. The bench next to that shows the abject environment the cast will be subjected to. The mugshots show four ideas for characters. Following this, the person with a graduation cap shows the age range of our actors. Everyone is meant to be of early college / late high school age. The bottom left picture is meant to show the scene of the murder, somewhere that is dark and gloomy as a result of what happened to everyone. The final picture on this board is meant to be a physical manifestation of confusion, showing the casts' mission of figuring out what really happened. It is meant to show the journey of learning the truth from a tangle of accusations against them.

Next, let's look at the second board on the right. The top left and bottom right images are meant to show the main setting of our movie. Much of it is going to take place in an interrogation chamber, as the characters are going to be drilled for any information they may have that is relevant for the crime. This moves to the picture in the top right, meant to show that there was a crime involved; a murder in particular. The two pictures below this are supposed to show the personalities of two of the characters, showing two different human reactions of being (falsely) accused of a crime. The man is clearly angry, screaming, and demanding to know what's going on. Meanwhile, we have a contrasting emotion on the right, with pure fear and sadness. The tunnel on the left is meant to show a flashback, as that's the way the audience is going to figure out what really happened during the crime. Next, the detective file is meant to show the evidence on each person. This was included because it's meant to be a prop in the upcoming movie. It's something we felt we could incorporate to add to the setting.
